I just picked up an immaculate 308 LTR and will be using it for hunting and a little 300 yard target play. I was going to stick with 150 grain bullets (Btips and SSTs have tried thus far) but was wondering if I should give 165's a try? I figure if I keep the range for hunting at 300-400 (like I would have the stones to try) and 600 target they would be worth a try too. I was thinking 165 Btips and 165 or 168 sst's or Amaxes respectively. Whats your opinions guys? Remember that the LTR is a 20 inch 308 and not the 26 inch pss so velocity is less. The powders I have and will be using are Varget and 4064.
