Colt Firearms

Interesting that Colt, which is practically defunct nowadays, beat out Berretta, CZ, H&K, Kahr, and Kel-Tec, among others. That it beat H&K really surprises me.

I have Glock 19, a Taurus 85, Colt Official Police, and I used to have a S&W model 19.

Could be just individual examples I guess but my other 2 revolvers couldn't touch the Colt. The smooth trigger pull and rock solid cylinder on the Colt are definitely better than the M19 was and I don't even wanna mention the Taurus. Funny thing is the Taurus was my first revolver and I actually thought it was nice until I found out what a real revolver was like.

Quality makes it a Colt. :cool:

Uh, no, Colt is alive and well nowadays as in the past. And as they’ve been around for so long it’s reasonable that over the many years many examples have been sold.
 
Colts mail focus has been on Military and Law enforcement contracts rather that public sales for some time, that may be why people might come to the conclusion that their market is dwindling.

Sometimes it makes good business sense to do one thing and do it well rather than over extend into new markets and bring a whole company down with a failing new venture.

One thing for sure is there will always be a market in law enforcement and Military sales, war and crime are 2 markets that will never end.:p

sorry all i own now is a heritage 22lr/mag revolver.
next on the list if i have enough left over from my tax rebate after paying bills is a hi point 45 acp.
 
i voted for the two brands that are currently leading by a decent margin...S&W and ruger. i know some swear by one over the other, but i like 'em both about equally. sure wish i could honestly vote for a few more, though. i'll have to keep working on that...been more focused on rifles lately.

CZ 82 in 9mm Makarov on my left hip, Colt 357 Peacekeeper with 6" barrel in X-15 holster on right shoulder. You might say that the two guns compliment each other! :D
