As detailed in another thread, a few weeks back I dropped my Pro Carry and broke parts. It's off at the gunsmith for repair, as well as a reliability tuneup.

Anyway, I was going to have him order a set of Meprolight sights from Kimber and install them, but I see that they're out of stock at Kimber's online store.

Any recommendations for other sights? I'd like to stay as close to possible to the stock low profile and smoothed edges.

Is it my imagination or do the Kimber mepro's seem to have smaller "dots" than the traditional night sights? They sure look small to me.

GO JACKETS. FINAL 2!!!

I just sent my slide off to Novak to get rid of my Meprolight sights and instal theirs on my slide.Fast turn around under a week. I had the opertunity to hold Novaks next to a gun with Mepro lights and the Novaks just jumped right out there with superior picture.

OK, went off looking at Novak night sights. Every one that I found looked like target sights--sharp, squared corners, sitting high on the pistol, and looking very snag-prone.

Am I looking at the wrong model(s)? I'm not looking for target sights, just smooth fixed "combat," "tactical," "SHTF," or whatever other term you'd like to apply.

From what I've seen, there's quite a price difference between the Novak front and rear night sight setup, and the Meprolight's. Get what you pay for?
