Which night sights work best for 9mm Shield?

I plan to buy a NIB M&P Shield "no thumb safety" 9x19mm this fall.
I will add Trijicon HD 3 dot sights too. I'm impressed with the steel orange-green sights. Trijicon is a shooting sports/military industry leader.
I'm thinking of having a Cerakote treatment too. Maybe SOCOM blue with the tactical grey color(lower-frame). It will void the S&W warranty but that's okay. :D

I like the X-S big dot sights too but my first choice is the HDs. Note; many gunners & engineers say green is the best color for night sights, but I like the orange/green style.

See www.midwayusa.com www.brownells.com www.glockstore.com www.policehq.com www.natchezss.com .
Agreed. But I like the yellow front, but that is small stuff, personal preference. At first I thought they were under powered when compare to the Truglows, but later came to realize I didn't want or need them that bright in an extreme low light situation. They are also some of the toughest ones on the market, designed to hold up against force racking a jammed slide...The luminescence of the ring around the tritium front makes front sight acquisition top notch...

I pulled the trigger on the Ameriglo. Thought they would work best for me.

Thanks for the help, guys!

Lasermax.....

I don't own a Shield yet, but I think the design & ergonomics of the Lasermax Shield format looks better than the Crimson Trace version. I'm left handed so ambi controls are important. I like to see a master or over-load switch.
Green lasers are out there too but I'm not sure any can fit the Shields yet. Give 2/3 years. :D

Rusty

edit; I looked over the CT website, www.crimsontrace.com . There is a new slick Shield green laser unit now available but the MSRP is about $299.00 USD. So if you really want to spend $300.00 on a green laser for a $350.00 pistol, go ahead. ;)

Personally I really like the wide notch 10-8 rear sights with a high visibility front like the Ameriglo or Trijicon HD. That is the perfect setup in my book.

What about the rear site do you find most appealing? Just "looks", or do they allow you to see "more of the target"?
