Which of Oleg's Posters...

Bump.

I would like to know also. I live 45 miles from Virginia Tech. All the upper management graduated from there also. I need to really start to become pro-active myself.

I'd be curious to hear which ones folks think would be most effective/well recieved. I'm planning a one-man protest of sorts at my college, and would definitely use some of Oleg's imagery if I could decide which was the most appropriate!

Kingpin, talk to friends, classmates, etc., and get them involved too. EVERYONE is concerned about safety. CCW is just ONE solution that can be brought up. IMHO, it is the most effective, and the least intrusive.

I too plan on doing something, they give us an alotment of printer usage ( so many pages we can print up on school printers, if Oleg can come up with something good that works in black and white I'll paper up my school in addition to my corrispondance with the president

Oleg - I don't have a set time. I'm basically planning on making iron-on letters for the back of my hooded sweatshirt (that I wear constantly) that will say either "Self-Defense is a Human Right (Even on College Campuses!)" Or "Forced to be a Defenseless Victim". Underneath that, I was planning on including the web address of a local pro-ccw group, Maryland Shall Issue.

I'm hoping to get this done as soon as possible, but I have no real experience with iron-on transfers and laying them out, so I have to at least wait until Monday so my fiancee can help. :)

Bogie - I'd love to have a few folks to help out, but unfortunately I don't have any gunnie friends, (local, that is!) and not many people know me on campus. I'm working on getting more folks out to the range soon, but for now this would have to be a one-man show. I'm ok with that though - I'm not trying to make a huge impact, I just want to be able to make at least a few people think.

How about the following:

"We Need Arms In The Hands Of The Law Abiding On Campus NOW! We know what can happen and are bound morally and in the name of common sense to fend off any massacre. To wait is to condemn those who would be the victims to death before the fact."

Woody

"Charge the Court, Congress, and the several state legislatures with what to do with all the violent criminals who cannot be trusted with arms. We law abiding citizens shouldn't be burdened with having to prove we are not one of the untrustworthy just because those in government don't want to stop crime by keeping violent criminals locked up." B.E. Wood

Let's use something like that for a follow-up... First we need to get the admins/faculty actually thinking... And if they're not thinking that CCW is an option, they're not all that bright. It might not be an option that they want to consider, but that's what a pr/media/pamphlet/poster campaign is for...

Oleg maybe if you came up with something like the "Almost all Mass Shootings come under the same sign" one, or "didn't work here yet again".

Maybe something like this

"I came to college for an education, but I WON'T learn to be a victim!"

or something more direct -

"Don't Let Their Classroom Be Their Tomb. Support Carry on Campus."

I need a high-res photo of a student or several sitting at a lecture hall, facing the camera directly. Model release not necessary, the image will be used as an illustration guide.
