Which of your .22LR rifles.....

At some point I was going to get what I'd consider a Grail Gun, a Cooper with upgraded wood. For what I have right now, a case could be made for my 94/22 or CZ 452FS but I'd probably have to say this one. For the sheer fact that it is extremely accurate and can do anything one might ask of a .22LR.

Including switching to excellent iron sights:

And any stock one could imagine:

Brno #1

The aliens said nothing about the number of stocks you could own so I'll keep both this target stock and the sporter stock it came with. Hopefully those offworlders will set up another couple of 22 ammo plants.

I'll still want to aggravate Pelosi, Feinstein, et. al., even if the aliens are in charge. :neener:

I need a bayonet lug.

Well Guys, so far wrrCLKbzzshSHBrr (Speaker to Rimfire shooters) and I are enjoying this thread. Apparently about 3,000 years ago when the law was made on CLGBLX that sentients could only have one rimfire the CLGBLXians had only variations of the falling block and as a big RF shooter himself wrrCLKbzzshSHBrr is fascinated with what we have developed.

The number and variety of 10/22s are fascinating. Interesting that the Marlin Mod 60 crowd has not been real big on sharing photos. Perhaps if you have seen one pine board with two curtain rods nailed on it.......

Neat bolt guns.

Come on and admit, it isn't this more fun than your typical show us you favorite .22 thread?

Oh, got to go. wrrCLKbzzshSHBrr just fainted when he mistook the gun closet door for the bathroom and saw how much .22LR ammo I have in there.

I've spent a lifetime collecting .22's.....ain't giving them up that easy. There's an old saying, "there are .22's and then there's the 52's". Taking a page from politicians, I would carefully re-define the terminology and keep all my 52's because they don't qualify in the same class as other .22's. (Hopefully they're friendly aliens)

Rembrandt, a 52 Sporter is my grail .22. Yours is gorgeous. Congratulations on a fine collection of 52's.

Rembrandt,

Those are so pretty one of wrrCLKbzzshSHBrr's antenna just popped off.

I shot some in high school with a sporter that belonged to an Uncle. Imagine a kid bringing a 52 to ninth grade home room today! After I gave it back to him when a 52D became available he traded it away for a BB gun.....no fooling. I about died.

My son, The Boy, would like me to be nice to the Model 60 crowd and show you the family is not baised against underbarrel tube feeders by posting the rifle he last shot which he may choose for his alien approved rimfire.

See I think wood stocked under barrel tube feeding autos are just fine.....as long as they have gills.

edit, man I need to reshoot that outside. Bad light, bad background, bad framing and wrrCLKbzzshSHBrr jiggled my elbow. That's what happens when you get in impatient and in a hurry, bad photos of nice rifles.

Kimber Custom Classic that is not made anymore - lucky to have the one I own. Kimber silently stopped manufacturing their .22 rifles and so goes history - wonderful piece of work - I guess that the demand just wasn't there.

I would keep my Ruger 10/22 Design Contest Rifle, as it is my most versatile setup. It has the threaded muzzle all set up for a can, and has a picatinny mount for a scope as well as good aperture sights.

Only one, eh!
It would be a take-down.
Short light barrel.
Multi-round magazine you couldn't lose.
Single point sling capable.
Simple action for reliability.
Quality made.
From my collection it comes down to the
Winchester 9422 Trapper Saddle Ring

Only One .22 Rifle

OK, what if the lever "thingie" gets hung up ?

BTW, I like yore gun, and mite corn-sid-der it for a second gun.

Nize picks.:D

I really doo like it !:D

OK then, how about I choose my Marlin 39 TDS, most all the same attributes noted for the Trapper, but no saddle ring for single point versatility.
... and the take-down on either rifle makes cleaning and clearing easy.

My 10/22 simply because I put a lot of aftermarket parts in it and it runs like a top. Surely not the best in the world, but it's accurate, fun, and reliable. The Kidd trigger makes a world of difference.
