Nice!!! Ive wanted to get a ruger blackhawk cambered in the .480 ruger but I would really like to be able for it to handle .475 linebaugh as well.
Acually it's a Super Redhawk and with full house loads it recoils pretty hard. Takes time to learn how to go with it. Can't imagine trying to deal with a 475 Linebaugh's recoil . I've heard they are brutal.

I bet, Ive shot .500 linebaughs before, and yes I know your ruger is a super redhawk, I was referring to the recent super blackhawks they make in .480 ruger now.

The next one will probably be a Pietta 1873 in 357 mag. I don't lack for 357 revolvers but recently got a couple of Rough Riders in 22lr and I'm having a lot of fun with them. The idea of a similar one, fixed sights and 5.5 inch barrel, for 38 specials is very appealing. It would make a nice companion to an old Marlin 1894 lever action in 357.

What I buy next depends on what I find first. On the list are an 8-3/8" S&W Model 14, a 3" 38 Special S&W Model 60, and if the bank account allows when I find it, a 4" S&W Model 16-4.

I have a Ruger Toklat in bound. I really like the action on the Super Redhawks and find this barrel length to be just about right. It is a gift from my father which makes it even more special.

I had a Super Redhawk converted to .475 Linebaugh years ago and while it had considerable recoil shooting full-tilt .475 loads, the SRH is a great platform for heavy recoil. I killed a lot of game with that revolver.....

I've decided to sell a few S&Ws in order to pony up for a Manurhin MR 73. I'm actually thinking of getting a new one from Chapuis (same tooling and quality as originals), as I can sort of afford a new 6" if I sell a 2-3 S&Ws, but a used one is out of my league.

My next revolver will almost assuredly be a Single Action. I can't afford 1st Gen Colts in shootable condition so I'll be looking for an all US made USFA SAA, which I can barely afford. They are the closest thing to a copy of 1st Gen Colts I've handled and fired. The Italian copies just don't feel right in my hand, which turns out to be an expensive sensitivity. (smile)

The next revolver you purchase will be what, and why you'd choose that revolver? Myself I want a 5" 6" or 6.5" something in S&W,Taurus,or Ruger, but only one of them to be my next buy.
Happy Birthday ! One day early isn't to bad.

Been looking for a handgun for my wife for years. She picked up a S&W 586, and the look on her face... THR rules prohibit further comparisons.

I've been wanting a Chiappa Rhino for a long time. Probably spring for the 6'' model.
