My always carry is a S&W 442 revolver. It is about 15 ounces unloaded, just under 19 ounces loaded (with pocket holster).

What semi-autos are between 15 and 20 ounces in weight, loaded? It doesn't have to be a pocket gun (if there are candidates too big for pocket carry).

Thanks for any suggestions.

I know a Kel-Tec P-11 weighs 14 ounces unloaded but does anyone know what 11 rounds of 9mm wieghs. I would think some of the Kel Tecs & Kahrs would be in that range.

Thanks for the suggestion--I do eventually want an LCP.

But I've got a number of mouseguns already. I guess I'm essentially wondering what's the biggest pistol I can get that weights in under 20 ounces loaded. I have a G26 too--just looking for something a little lighter for my intended purpose.

Googling the LCP, it seems like it's only ~12 ounces loaded.

Looks like the P11 is exactly at 20 ounces loaded! So, it's definitely a contender.

The PM9 looks like it's just under 20 ounces loaded too.

Thanks--I just don't know everything on the market right now, so I appreciate the feedback.

Boulder I want to introduce something here you may find useful. I saw this rating one time that I found to be more accurate the more I thought about it. The following is a list of factors in carrying comfort in descending order of importance. In other words, #1 is the most important factor in carrying comfort and #4 is the least important.

1. width of the gun
2. height of the gun
3. length of the gun
4. weight of the gun

Particularly if you carry the gun on the center of mass of your body (your waist/hip), the weight is less important than the other factors. Though YMMV.

Dr_2_B--thanks for the list! The reason I'm looking for something between 15-20 ounces is because I recently injured myself and it's taking awhile to heal. I used to be able to carry and conceal full-size metal guns without a problem (N-frame Smiths and 5" 1911s).

So, before the injury, my personal order was #2, #1, #4, #3.
Now, I'm thinking it's going to be more like #4, #1, #2, #3.

Just from reading posts on this forum, right now I'm looking at giving either the KT P11 or PF9 a try.

Sorry I'm not buying it. #1-3 deal more with gun fit then carry #4 is all about carry.

Well then, try carrying an 8 3/8" S&W some time.

It will raise #3 to new heights of importance on your list.
