Fella's;
My eyes are now to the point that I'm going to be forced to put some sort of accessory sight on a revolver in order to shoot effectively with it. The gun is a Smith 617 .22lr, highly accurate and low recoil. But not so accurate for me any longer. Therefore, I'm going to put something on it to help out. I'm anything but a new shooter, but I am totally ignorant about the reflex/holo/red dot scene, never had one before.
After looking around, I'm considering either the Sightmark Ultra reflex, or the Bushnell TRS-25 red dot. What's the board's consensus on these two? Or, is there something out there I should be considering instead? What I don't want to do is buy some expensive optic & find out it's totally unsuitable. The budget is $150.00 with a hard maximum. I'd prefer about $100.00, but also know from long experience with conventional optics, that a bit of a bump can yield big benefits.
Please do state your reasons for your choices.
