Whitney Revolver Cylinder Gap

Been a long time since posting! Started a new business which totaled up most of my time, but glad to be back!

Recently acquired a rather worn Whitney 2nd model revolver. The cylinder gap is unacceptable, any opinions on tightening it up?

Any other general knowledge/tips in regards to the Whitney?

Have you used it as such yet? Curious of how it shoots with a gap like that. What is that about 0.04"?

Something is pretty goofy with that one. My guess is an ad-hoc cylinder replacement in the field, not factory or armorer fitted.

No not yet, I wasn’t sure if I should address the issue first

Probably after soaking ect. Wouldn't be the end of the world to set back barrel one more turn and face off if not enough gap.
