Need a bunch a bullets: 9mm, 38 sp., .40, .45 and maybe some .38s&w. Mostly range fodder but a couple of boxes of self-defense stuff as well. (Oops, I mean cartridges, whole bullets, projectile, powder, primer, and case all put together and nicely packaged. Didn't mean just the "bullet.")

Wondering if anyone who's recently bought online has a recommedation or favorite. It's been a while since I've needed any and I'd like to buy at a good price.

Buds, PSA, Ammotogo, Midway, OpticsPlanet, CenterfireSystems, and CheaperThanDirt (in that order), is where I go. The first three have the best combination of low prices and good customer svc. (IME), with the last 3 sometimes having good sales, but questionable CS and iffy shipping. Midway is reliable, but often a litle pricier.

Download the AmmoSeek app and it will show you the best prices for a specific cartridge across the entire web, complete with customer satisfaction reviews. It's a lifesaver!

On the rare occasion that I actually buy ammo online nowadays, I order from Bud's. Their prices are competitive, often the best in the country for sale items. The original store is close enough to me that I just ship to the store, drive over to pick the order up, and avoid shipping charges.

9mm is still affordable enough that I don't bother to reload it. I just dash into Bud's when I'm over that way and pick up a box or two over the counter.

Once I found SG Ammo I don’t even bother looking elsewhere.

I haven’t seen a better deal anywhere-ever.

Good enough selection for me, super competitive pricing, packed right, shipped fast and FREE (not hard to hit the $200 mark nowadays).

If you get on the email list for double tap ammo sometimes they have really good sales as well.
If we're doing e-mail lists then Velocity Ammo is worthwhile - they occasionally have government contract overruns on good JHPs at good prices.

SGAmmo used to be my go to, but over the last 6 months I've done better other places. But SGAmmo haven't screwed up an order in 10+ years and are good people from what I can tell.

Luckily, I have a pretty good "base" of ammo supply. So, I'm mainly getting a box or two (or three or four) where I see the prices are right.

Shipping costs tend to "rob" any decent 'discount' out of the prices which I cipher those out.

Your Mileage May Vary.

Ammoseek is a great search engine for multiple sites; I usually end up ordering from S&G or Outdoor Limited.

Ammoseek, Ammoman for some choices.
Now, that said, Natchez actually had better numbers than either of the above recently. Pay attention to sales.
BTW, I'll spend extra for Blazer Brass, simply because it's a known quality...it's usually competitive for price. And I'll spend a little extra for a vendor I know and trust.
BTW, the primer drought has had me saving my primers for .38/.380/.32s Nines are cheap enough right now, even decent ammo, that I can't afford to try to reload them.
Too, we're all at the mercy of world events... :(

When I buy at a store, it us usually ACADEMY Sports. On line, where I buy most of my ammo, I start with AMMO SEEK and also check GUN BROKER.. It has worked out well for me so far.

sites with $20-$30.00+ shipping.
And, that's just it. You'd be hard pressed to ship a single case of 9x19, what with the HazMat declarations and the like for just $25, even in a given Common Carrier distributions Zone (e.g., truck to truck). Ammo, especially assembled is both Heavy and Bulky, and you need those ORM-D declarations, too.
