I got a Draco pistol, and I want to add an underfolder stock. I know the paperwork and taxes have to be done and all that stuff. I have a Romanian Underfolder to put on it.

Now the question comes of who do I get to do the work? I would attempt it, but I don't have the correct tools for it. I have a decent local gunsmith but he does the more traditional stuff and doesn't want to mess with it. I'm pretty sure there isn't anybody else around my area (at least that I know of) that would do this kind of work...

So is there any decent place that would do that kind of work and not cost an arm and a leg? Or anybody on here that would be interested?

We can do it, we'd have to engrave it and file a Form 2 on it with us as the manufacturer, then Form 3 back to your local FFL/SOT for transfer on Form 4 to you.

You'll need a new trunion, and the receiver will have to be drilled for the stock pin and for the position stops. The old trunion rivet holes will have to be welded shut and refinished.

Honestly, it'll be a few hundred to get it all done and will probably cost more than the gun is worth when complete.

All of the above folks are good, but pricey.

I'd suggest you contact Ken Kubin at Global Military Gunsmithing.
Unlike the others, he'll do whatever you want, and not "push a package" on you.

By all reports, the Dracos come with virgin (undrilled) underfolder rear blocks. I've only seen one report where the rear block was recycled from the "produced for underfolder" barrel (reportedly already had the holes drilled in it).

I can confirm the Draco has a non-drilled underfolder trunion..Have one myself. I have seen one that the Trunion had the holes for the underfolder, but the receiver did not. By what I have heard and seen, the earlier imports were more likely to have underfolder trunions. The Draco as an SBR crossed my mind, would be spiffy..but I figured an underfolder Romanian with a 16" barrel would be just as good and a lot less pricey..After adding a krink flash suppressor, your paying the taxes and headaches and only saving 3 inches..I opted for the latter, used the money I would have spent to get it SBR'ed on another AK..now I have two guns instead of one ...which is a win win in my book...
