Hi, I just bought a Taurus 24/7 Pro in .40. I was wondering if any of you guys might have one, and how do you like it. I got a good deal at the local gunshop and i loved how it fit my hand, and I knew it had gotten good reviews. I have not gotten the chance to fire it yet, but probably will this weekend. So what do you think of this gun? Thanks

I fondled one at the gun store the other day, it was nice, but for me, the 9 fit better, and I really liked the grip on the 9 vs the .40...

But I suspect you will really like it...

Hi Thomas

I have two Taurus 24/7 Pro's, both are .40 cal. One is all Black the other has a stainless slide. In one word I Love em! OK on to business. I have not had any problems with either. This is after thousands of rounds through both of them. This last weekend I was impressed by my black one. I had shot about 250 rounds through it, but I had a couple of Winchester 165 FMJ practice rounds that failed to fire and it is just like Taurus says, it reverts to double action and they both fired on the second attempt. Never had to rack the slide, it was great! I doubt Premium ammo would ever fail to fire, but is was nice to know that such a life saving function worked. Other then that I have never had a jam, fail to eject or any hiccup of any kind. Even if I had not gotten such a good deal on price I am impressed on how well they function and rapid fire. Taurus has a great mag capacity on their .40 also. I intend to get a 24/7 OSS when they come out in a .45 or .40 cal. Check it out! I have to say my Taurus auto's are as reliable as my Springfield XD .45's and I have two of those also.

I have a 24/7 PRO long slide 9mm in Stainless. It is my favorite polymer pistol out of all those I have tried (Glock, XD, HK, S&W M&P, Ruger). With the SA trigger mode it is so easy to shoot well with this gun. Having no safety in the trigger is a big plus for me as is the frame mounted safety. My only complaint is the price and availability of mags. I hope it does not go up in price the way XD's did when they became mainstream. It is one of the best bargins out there right now.
