You know good and well he means that one, Sam, what are you jerking the guy around for
:) Not jerking him around -- he just forgot to put a link to it in the thread. Just helping him out.

Looks pretty nice. Makes me miss my Stg-58.

I do think Atlantic Firerarms might be able to give some useful info on customer feedback, how many they've seen sold, etc. They've been consistently helpful and upstanding sorts, and contributing members for years here.

Had one for a short while but sold it to clear the way for more funds for other guns. Had two FALs anyway and this one lost.

First the pluses
1) metal finish was first rate
2) good receiver built except for the mag well, see below.
3) 100% reliable at the range

complaints
1) Mag well was way too loose causing the mag to wobble from side to side, even worst than the worst AK I have ever seen. Didn't seem to effect reliability though, but bugged the heck out of me cause it flopped around like a fish out of water.
2) Related to #1, the mag catch notch looked like it was cut to fit inch mags instead of metric. Made the mag wobble worst but again didn't seem to effect reliability.
3) Gas adjustment dial was out of round making it hard to turn, had to use a bottle opener to turn it.
4) Stock had a cheap look and feel to it.

At that price, IF it ran well, it might be worth getting and upgrading components to get where you want to be with your FAL.

Magnificent battle rifles!

These are excellent +'s, and I thank ya for the advice.

I have no other FALS for this one to lose to, and the price is extremely appealing.

This is ok to me when you consider

3) 100% reliable at the range

Considering good milsurp FALS of questionable reliability and function with wood furniture go for way more, and these have been given a pretty good once over.... it piqued my interest somethin fierce.

Now I'm gonna have to find someone local who has one so I can go feel 'er up !

Before selling it I thought of trying solder or maybe JB weld perhaps in the oversize mag catch notch to see if it lessened the mag wobble. Sold it to a guy who didn't care one way or the other about the wobble before trying this.

Before you put down your money I would go over to The Fal Files and do a search on Enterprise and to read up on the Fal type rifles.

If I were looking for one? I would look for one built on an Imbel receiver with a good Imbel kit. You would then have the equivelnt of a Brazilian made Fal. I would also look for a Forged recever (the Imbel is forged) instead of cast one. Metric over Inch Patern, Orginal barrel over US made one.

Just my .02 on it

I Dont think you can get one from Atlantic due to the high demand and slow build rate from the manufacture.Go to the FAL Files and buy a FAL from the marketplace.
