Yeah, I know, not the highest-end gun ever made. Everything I've read about these people complain about the firing pins breaking after a few hundred rounds. I haven't had this happen yet but I was thinking of making up some titanium firing pins. This should improve striking reliability and I think will be less prone to breakage.

I wanted to get a feel for how many people out there have this gun and would be interested in a replacement firing pin. You can get steel firing pins for around $30 online. I'm still pricing it out, and obviously it depends on how many I have made, but it would certainly be under $40. Some people might say the TEC-22 is a waste of good titanium but to be honest I like this gun, it's fun to shoot and a little unique for a .22.

While we're talking about TEC-22's, I spent a lot of time with mine apart last week and I think I understand why they are prone to failure-to-eject problems. The ejector is part of the magazine in the 10/22 type guns, and the TEC-22 mag well allows for a lot of slop in the magazine orientation. I put a little shim on one side to force the mag to line up so the ejector is lined up perfectly with the bolt ejector groove. I haven't taken it out for a test drive yet (soon) but I'm 99% sure it will solve the FTE's.
