who makes a really good ulu?

That's cool, ulu's are great. I got one from a Alaskan knife maker at a knife show in Phoenix - I traded him one of my unfinished knives for it. The blade is made from a saw blade and the handle is antler but I did have it come off once. I epoxied it on and it's been great to use for chopping.
