i am looking for a 264 win mag. however i am having trouble finding it in a production rifle. i know i could buy whatever and have it rebarrelled but i would rather buy a factory gun and toy with it for awhile before customizing it.

brings me to my question where do i find a 264 win mag?

On the used rack.:neener: But seriously, unless your looking for a 26"-28" barreled rifle, just get a .270. There's very little difference in ballistics and you can find a brand new one all day long from every major manufacturer.

this ^^^^ unless you like saying "MAG" there is no up-side , other that the 264 has a higher BC , but a guy could counter that buy pointing out better bullet selection with the 270.

now if I found a good used 264 win mag I'd jump on it , but I like odd ball cals, and I already have four 270wins , and a 264 would be a fun new/old cal to play with

IIRC just every major gun manufacture chambered it at one time or another. I know Sako, Winchester, Browning, Howa and even Remington did. I would think if you hit up the used network of gun shows, pawnshops and classified adds you'll find one used. A new Winchester MSRP is over $900 right now. You should be able to better that price on a used rifle.

'loose

Which Winchester and Brownings are currently chambered for it? I have skimmed their website with no luck

yeah shortly after i read the previous posts i went back and looked again not sure how i missed it
