I'm in the market for a good 1911 IWB holster, so how make the best ones. I like hand made, top of the line stuff because I appreciate the workmanship that goes into a hand made item. I under stand that what I am asking for is paramount to a work of art, and that everyone will have his/ her tastes, so throw out what you think is high end in terms of quality, and I will be appreciative.

Thanks,

Fred

I like my Galco and my High Noon holsters. I have a couple of Galcos for 1911's.

Most of the time tested designs are good. I like the Milt Sparks Summer Special II IWB (pictured). I also have a Bearclaw Kydex IWB for a 1911 that I'm impressed with.

I have a Milt Sparks Versa-Max II, and it is absolutely fantastic. IMO, it can be equaled, but not exceeded, in terms of comfort and quality. If I were to replace it, I would look fairly hard at the Brommeland Max Con V, but it would be a toss up between the two (they are rather similar in design, but the VM converts to tuckable, which I thought I would use but never do).

Good call on getting a good holster. Get a good belt also and you'll be able to carry all day long without any problems.
