Another range trip report, this one with the 4-5/8" bbl Uberti .45 Colt.

Using CCI Blazer 200 gr. JHPs, I was hitting POA/POI at 15 yds and regularly dinging the 100 yd. gong.

Even with the tiny rear sight notch the thing just points like a dream and the round is downright comfortable to shoot.

I should have gotten another SAA a long time ago. :D

Uberti make a quality firearm - if I am not mistaked, the Berreta Stampede SAA is an Uberti.... I would love some Uberti black powder revolvers, too.

I have a Uberti Cattleman with a 5.5 inch barrel in 44 Special. It is a fantastic shooter and very accurate.

I don't get the people that down Ubertis...my expereince is that they're good single actions for the money.

PS - I did recently handle the new Taurus Gaucho single actions and they're REALLY nice, too!

I believe the gripframes are interchangable from the old Vaquero to the new model.
But even so, the Beretta grip just feels better to me. I like the prawl similar to the one Colt used on the 1877 and the slightly beefier curve in the Beretta backstrap makes it much more pointable and comfortable to shoot.
