I always lamented the fact that suppressing a tube fed rimfire was never really practical. There have been a couple QD "solutions" over the years, and Griffin Cam Lok is the best yet, but it's still annoying to have to remove the can to reload.

Well, I finally got around to making the first couple of these, and they work as well as I'd hoped! They are 3/4" diameter and 5" long, slim enough to clear the mag tube plunger assembly on pretty well any rifle. Also nice for pistols with low sights like the Beretta 71.

I actually haven't threaded any of my tube fed critters yet, so can't show it off that way, but:

Nice!

what materials are they made from?

Are both the rear and front end caps removable?

what are they rated for besides .22lr?

Price?

Thanks,

Daniel

Tubes are gr. 9 CWSR titanium, mount and cap are gr. 5 titanium, baffles are 17-4 H900 Stainless.

The mounts are loctited in, front cap is removable with 11/16 or 17mm 12 point wrench/socket.

They'll take .22 WMR & .17 HMR just fine

I'll be doing them at $300 as long as material prices don't skyrocket further.

These two are still in the raw obviously, which is an option, but the default finish will be SOCOM Flat Black moly resin

Curious myself what kind of decibel drop you would get with a standard velocity 22lr (1050fps)?

I don't really use that stuff, mostly American Eagle 45 gr. suppressor subsonic, which is a little more potent energy wise, but with the heavier bullet. The CCI standards are often supersonic out of a rifle barrel at this altitude (6,700 ft)

Obviously not quite as much suppression as with my full size (1" OD x 5.5") Ocelot, but that's nearly twice the internal volume.

I'll get the meter out at some point, but my ears are telling me ~118-121 on a 16" bolt action, probably 122-125 on the pistols. Still plenty quiet enough, just not quite there with my full size model, the Mask, TBAC TD22.

Have you used the Canine on a .22 Pistol ? or a .25 or .32 ?

Never bothered on a .22, can't remember if I ever put it on the Beretta 81.

Used it a bunch on 9mm & .380, of course. Our demo model mostly lives on a DB380, works really well with that round on a locked breech host.

I'm not the target market here (no tube fed .22s) but I think this is really cool, and kind of want one. Excellent price for the materials, and crazy low weight.

Browning SA-22 is tube fed. Hang anything you want on the end. I have one set up with two threaded barrels. Stock barrel is iron sights and a 16"5 has a red dot sight.

Oooh. One of the first .22s that interested me. Got an old Fieldmaster that is as quiet as can be with CBs, perfectly reliable and as accurate as anything I have ever seen (literally; benchrest guys took it, bagged it, used their ammo and it was as accurate as their martini-action single shot rail guns). Suppressed with the heavy subs is... interesting. Hmm...

It's not an issue with my Model 24 either. But buttstock tube mags are the exception, not the rule, and the lack of limitations with them is no consolation for the hundreds of thousands of people who own Marlin 60s, 39As, 81s, Remington 12s, 552s, 572s, Winchester 1890, 34, 74, 190 and countless others that can't be reloaded with a conventional size rimfire can installed.

Oh, and I did meter a couple days ago, was spot on with my guesses. The bottom of my estimations were the average, the top end was first round pop. This is at shooter's ear, I don't really bother with muzzle numbers.

That looks cool as hell, and I do want one, even though I kind of cringe at threading the two tube feds I have, due to their age and sentimental connections.

That and the Phoenix M are on my next list !

I was confused with models, The Phoenix M is what I should have ordered instead of a Phoenix 4 ! It would serve a niche with and Aquilae You made me. Same with the tube kit I sent I would rather have had the Salamander 3/4" new product . I guess that is the way the silencer world turns :)
