Why do I want to buy Berry Bullets?

Much prefer plated over coated for the reasons already provided by others. An additional negative I've consistently experienced is more stubborn residue from coated bullets that is more difficult to scrub from the barrel bore. The cost savings of a penny or so for coated aren't worth the negatives for me. The only exception is for applications where I want to roll crimp into a groove (some plated bullets lack a crimping groove).
The coated bullets I buy are 25 to 35 percent less than Extreme plated bullets. That is a big part of the reason I switched.

Your $$$ your choices. I shoot a BUNCH of plated thru my 9's, 10's and 45's mainly due to the ease of loading on my progressive presses.

I also shoot a barrel full of my own cast both coated and traditional lubed.

As for brands, I have several K of multiple brands of plated and swaged that I chose for cost or application. Similarly I have boxes from just about every major commercial manufacturer.

I grew out of tha cool aid stage years ago. I honestly haven't had any problems that I could contribute to the product in particular. Usually its something like a fouled barrel or a pressure issue. A change in powder usually does the trick.

That is the great thing about handloading, your options or choices are taylored to your own end use, not a one load for all occasions. Just because Joe or Sam didn't get a one hole group at 50yds with CBS bullets doesn't mean the bullets are junk.
