Why do you own guns?

Here are my reasons

-Its my right to own guns, and its an american tradition
-When I came home after fighting for my rights and yours I felt naked without them
-Home defense - I dont think an intruder would wanna be caught on the business end of my mossy 590
-Its a fun sport
-Im starting a nice collection
-and again, its called being an American..wouldnt trade it for anything

heres my question for you...Why are people trying to ban them?

my idea of gun control is hitting my target!

The question should be...WHY DO YOU NOT OWN GUNS ???? We should not have to explain why...they should have to explain....why not? All american taxpayers own guns...army..air force..marines...navy...FBI...U.S. Marshals...etc....etc..etc...Think about it. Semper Fi...

why? it runs in the family. i remember going shooting with my dad and my brothers. although i was only allowed the 22lr or bb gun. it was still fun. at first i thought they were just for fun. but after getting older and being able to do more with them. found alot more uses besides spending time with family. puts food on the table. spend time in fields or at shooting ranges, instead of getting drunk in bars and costing you a dui for driving home drunk from the bars. its my right to do so. and every gun or ammo box you buy, supports the gun maker, ammo maker, gun store and the familys who are employed by those listed.

and to me. banning guns is the stupidest thing ever. if guns were banned. think of all the people that would be out of jobs. from the gun makers, to the gun stores. and the fact that in the late 1800s and early 1900s, was just about the safest time in the united states. because bad guys never knew who had a firearm and who didnt.
which is why i think that states with the most strict gun laws. also have the highest crime rates, because the BGs know no one is carrying a gun. so they can walk up to anyone with their illegaly obtained handgun and rob them or do whatever they want. so instead of making them illegal to everyone. they need to crack down on how the criminals get them. but the government doesnt under stand this.

Seriously, it's one of our freedoms and I enjoy it. I also enjoy being able to protect myself and my loved ones from the scum of the earth.
