Well done.

The first time I saw it, I read "200 million murdered killers," rather than "200 million murdered. Killers:..." Maybe some punctuation or a slight separation or different size font to separate "killers" from the previous.

You could try "Can the government agencies responsible be trusted with a monopoly on weapons?" for the last sentence. I think this does more to emphasize that governments carried responsibility for murder, rather than they are "responsible government agencies," which we know they are NOT.

My only real complaint about this poster is the number: 200 million. Where did you get that number? Unless my memory fails me, the sources I'm familiar with (especially Innocents Betrayed) usually talk about numbers "up to 100 million."

I agree about the text refinement. THe background face was supposed to be dead (unfocused eyes), but I changed the silhouetted figure to a different person, so it makes no sense now.

Oleg, nice direction, but you're consistently too wordy... Powerful images get zorked by too much text. Plus, questions tend to have weak messages... Don't ask people to think. Tell them what to think.

I might just get rid of the background face AND the foreground hoilster. They add visual texture but little content. Might add a background photo of people walking by without even looking...

Oh yeah... typographically, go for different fonts for the stuff before the colons, and the stuff after the colons... It'll help make it pop.

Same here. How about:
20th Century: 200 MILLION citizens murdered (add emphasis on the million)
Killed by: Their own governments
Still think governments should be the only ones trusted with weapons?

Idea for a future poster (playing on the mastercard theme):
Summer Soccer League: $150
Springfield Armory XD45: $500
Keeping your child and yourself safe from harm when the police aren't there: Priceless
Maybe show a mom after soccer practice ushering her daughter to cover behind a SUV with her gun drawn and pointed at the BG.
