If you'll check out the special features section of the second Tomb Raider movie, The Cradle of Life, there's a section on weapons used in the movie.

It contains a pretty detailed examination of the rig lara used, which held a NAA mini revolver in the same manner as Jim West's derringer.

The thing doesn't look too hard to build, if you're fairly handy with tools.

Oh, and telekinesis isn't required, since hers has an off-side cable release. :D

I'll try to grab a screen cap of the rig later.

It would require considerable practice to get the flick right. You should do it in the mirror - saying "you looking at me, punk, are you? I don't see anybody else here" and so forth.

on the subject, there was also a knife that wistlers daughter had in Blade III, that was up her sleeve. *grin* it was used to good effect when she was killing off those punk vampires in the train station. i always thought that thingy actually looked pretty fesiable, i think it had a spidy type action to make it spring out.

I've been chomping at the bit to reply to this one...

To: Ryans63:

1st, where did you get this photo? I cannot find anything out about it...all my searches have been in vain. I work with a guy that says his friend who works with TDCJ has built some like this before, he's going to see if he still does or has any for sale. But he took one look at this pic and instantly knew all about it's components and operation, I spent several hours pondering the apparatus and had most of it figured out without ever seeing one in person or in operation. If you can post where you got the pic, it might help me in searching it out. Thanks.

To Jamie C.:

I will go buy that movie (if I don't already own it) just for the stills of that apparatus...OK OK, I'll admit it...I want to see Angelina Jolie's Bod TOO! Thanks for the tip!

There are some individual frames that can be caught which show the NAA (North American Arms) 22 Magnum, 5 shot revolver in it's carry orientation as well as the 180 degree underspin the revolver does as it deploys into position. I don't have my movie software on the computer right now or I would have posted those pics for you all.

OR, we could just get Robert Conrad to send us his sleeve gun apparatus to copy from...let me see, whatever did I do with Bobby's number...Ah nevermind I found the original sleeve gun used by Robert during the Wild Wild West TV series, here's a picture...
