Art, the photos on the River Men Rod & Gun site are simply amazing. What's the story there? Is it just a site you found, or are you a member of that group?

I love this photo. Not the most incredible or most unique picture on the page, but what it represents is just beautiful to me. It really give me a whole new sense of respect for these animals.

Reminds me of something I read about a person who went hunting for the first time, and when he saw his prey, he was so awestruck that he couldn't bring himself to kill it. So he spent the rest of his life hunting each year, but with a camera instead of a rifle. I suppose that might happen more often than we hear about.

This camera is set up in my back yard maybe 25 yards outside my fence. I have plenty of pictures of coyotes and foxes but look at the times on the photos. This guy chose May 15th as the day to investigate the camera. I had a piebald deer a while back.

That could describe me. I have no objection to the killing and eating of game or pest animals, but there are some I don't think I could shoot. Ducks, for one - I take too much pleasure from watching them to ever kill one.

One of my favorite outdoor pictures from the last few years. During a camping trip with a few of my kids last summer.
