Will 1100 stock work on 11-87?

Just like the title says, can an 1100 stock fit onto an 11-87? Thanks for any help!

I think the buttstock will fit, but the forend is slightly different.

Well I bought an 1100 stock to put on my .410 and 28ga to cut down for my kids a few years down the road. I got to looking at it and wondered if it would fit my 11-87. After finally breaking the 11-87 stock loose I put the 1100 stock in place and it's just a hair off from fitting perfectly, but it's good enough that I let some kids shoot it at the gun club and it fit them fine. The color is off but for utility purposes it does the job. I cut it down 2" and added a 3/4" recoil pad to mine. It worked good for 8-12 year olds. WIth the ultra light 12 ga loads they said it kicked a lot less than the 20 ga gun they had been shooting.

I did the reverse: I put an 11-87 stock on my 1100 Special Field with no problems. I would think they're interchangeable.
