Will 30-round 7.62x39 AR magazines fit in normal pouches?

New upper and looking at new magazines. Not optimistic old pouches will work, but can't hurt to ask.

These are the pouches, already have:

If you have the pouches you link to, are they not designed for AR magazines? I think you may be able to fit one AK mag, but it might be a squeeze to try to fit two in.

The shape is probably more like the AK mag than AR. Clarified title.

+1 -- I'd try a pouch made for AK mags. I don't think a normal AR mag pouch will work well with the 30 round 7.62x39s.

The bend in the mag is a result of the dimension of the bullets- 7.62x39 AR mags will be shaped more closely the AK mags than 5.56 mags.

I don't think the ones you have will work very well. Try either the HSGI universal pouches or the Emdom AK pouches. I've used both and they are both pretty darn good.
