will 327 magnum revolver shoot 32 acp? i am starting to over think the purchase of a ccw gun and just when i think i have made up my mind this thought springs in my head!

Ive heard of people accidentally running .32 long and .32 H&R mag revolvers on .32 ACP. Sticky cases and less than perfect accuracy most likely, but dimensionally speaking it will fit and maybe extract due to the semi rim on the .32 ACP case

It will fit, but it is not wise to fire. I have a couple old .32 S&W revolvers, one passed down through the family, and once about 30 years ago or so someone bought 32 ACP to feed it. It will chamber, but they don't really fit the extractor and there is a good chance you could tie the gun up. Some of the experts list this on the "not safe to substitute" list.

Just feed the danged thing what it's MADE for. Sure, .32 long/H&R mag, same as shooting .38 in a .357, but .32ACP is a different cartridge all together. It probably has a warning on the box to only use it in .32ACP chambered firearms.

If cost is a problem, don't get the .327 or get into handloading.

The question was will a .327 shoot .32 ACP. The simple answer is yes. I have shot .32 ACP out of my .32 H&R Magnum and .32 S&W Long revolvers. He didn't ask if it would extract or if it was accurate, he asked if it would shoot. In my S&W revolvers it would.

Too many net lawyers here...

Like said above, the .32 Auto will fit but it shouldn't be fired. A .327 Magnum will safely fire a .32 Short, .32 Long, .32 H&R Magnum as well as the .327 Federal Magnum. Stay away from the .32 Auto though...

its not $ for the most part its the vertility. I like that 357 you can shoot 38 twice as likly to find ammo in a pinch.
