My .308's and my SKS have done a lawn mower, easy. My .308 bolt-gun managed to blast the thing around on its axis from a good hit. And, the same day, I saw a guy with a .50 blast away pieces of the mountain behind, after the round had gone straight through some steel plate . You'd better believe .50'll do a lawnmower.

Will a .50 BMG do a lawnmower? Sure, but then again so will a .223. The lawnmower isn't much of a test for a .50 BMG.

Yeah a 50 BMG round will go through just about anything nicely. During show and shoot at my local range, I was asked by a RO to shoot at a low rock in the berm that had withstood several hundred hits by many other calibers. The crowd wanted to see what the 50 could do. The rock was easily two feet wide and at least 4 feet tall. I couldn't tell how think as it was buried in the berm.

Well two shot and I had cracked the stone in half. Turns out it was about 1 to 1 1/2 foot thick. I then let other proceed in cracking the two halves. Oh that was fun to watch. Pieces of the rock were being blasted all over the place!!!!
