My title sums up my question, but I will add some more details for additional clarity.
I was looking on the Roedale Precision website for Howa 1500 triggers. The results under their "Triggers" section include about three different brands of triggers. The description for most of the triggers said "for Remington 700 and clones." Is the Howa 1500 action a "clone" of the Remington 700 action? If so, will a trigger that fits a Remington 700 also fit a Howa 1500?
To answer some inevitable questions and responses:
1.) I have no interest in having the factory trigger worked on by a gunsmith.
2.) I have already tried multiple adjustments on the factory trigger, such as multiple creep and pull weight adjustments.
3.) I have looked into Timney triggers, Jewell triggers, CG triggers. I do not care about a debate on which brand is better than which other brand; I only care about compatibility issues.
Trigger is intended for a Howa 1500 chambered in 308, with bull barrel; rifle has the factory Hogue brand polymer stock, the stock is getting upgraded in the future.
I would greatly appreciate any information available. Thank you.
