I have refined my Glock collection down to 3 defensive guns, a, Gen3, 26 & 30 S, and Gen 4, 19, I hardly ever carry them because I can throw an XDS ,or Kahr PM9, in my pocket easier than a larger gun with a larger holster.
I use a remora for 7 yrs now on my Pocket guns.
But with recent events, I am starting to carry either 2 pistols or the 19 with 2 mags. I do put one or the other on the nightstand, with a TLR on it without a holster at bedtime. Of course all have 1 in the pipe.
The question is, since my 19 fits into my plastic, cheapo holster, and krydex Glock 26 holsters, "open bottom", will the 26 fit into a new holster I am ordering from Omega, or are their measurements too precise, and for that matter, 2 other manufacturers, of quality, "over $100.00, holsters, told me the 30 will fit in the 19 holster since they are so close in dimensions.
I originally was going to order a light bearing holster for my TLR-4, but the more I look the less practical it looks. Since most use the light to secure the tension on the gun, I am thinking that over time it may break or damage the light. Plus it becomes a matter of how big is too big, it would have to be OWB, as I can't see sticking all of this between my body and my pants. Otherwise it's just going to be a container for the nightstand.
Has anyone tried this with other than a tactical, "work" holster, and if so how did it work. Perhaps I should just leave off the laser/light until I am home.
I really only see a need for the TLR at night when asleep and having to respond out of a deep sleep, although it is a nice addition and allows you to make some interesting shots, plus the light is a big help and although I have multiple tac lights that can blind an uninvited guest, you need to remember at 3AM to grab one, or you can be stumbling around your own house. when things go wrong fast.
Needless to say, but I will anyway, there is a box with several mags for each gun, clearly labeled that the main gun I am using sits on, they all have a front Night sight.
