Can the Wilson "trak-lock 2" ghost ring sights be installed on a Mossberg? It looks like the thumb safety may be in the way. Has anyone tried this setup?

I am a lefty and I am leaning towards a Mossberg 500 mariner for the thumb safety but I don't like Mossberg's factory sights... I also cannot afford to customize a left handed 870 Express...

Thanks.

I don't know you're situation but... ;)

Going cheaper is a false economy. :/
The gun will out last you, get a good one or none at all?

Get a good older one, used, maybe even modified to the way you want it already? Modified stuff sells for less usually too, you might get lucky and you never know what you are going to find at a pawn shop or gun shop that sells used guns. The idea isn't to find a smokin'deal that you can turn a profit on, but finding what you want, that you can live with, modify and be happy with it for years and years.

BTDT with a late 60's early 70's(?) Mossberg and not going to make that mistake again. YMMV

For example I got a 50's JCHiggins now that I'm happy as a frog with. :)

Yeah I know it's not much of a step "up" -if any- but I'm happier with it than the Mossberg with that sorry plastic trigger assembly.

What do you think?

Shut up, Alvin? ;)

Alvin in AZ
ps- if you are going to shoot one person with it and throw it in the river then yeah... go with the Mossberg ;)

I'm a lefty and just ordered my Mossy yesterday for the same reason you did.

I'm seeing the Wilson's for over 100.

Mossberg's are 63.

Both require drilling.

That said, I just reread your post- sorry- I'not sure if they will fit or not.

I'm leaning towards a sight on a rail, which, from what I understand, does not require any drilling.

I'm new to shotties, so take my advice with a grain of salt...

I thought the Mossbergo rear sight would bolt on if your reciever is new enough to be drilled/tapped from the factory?
