Is it ok to use Win 231 to load 147gr FMJ RN 9mm? What are the pros/cons for using this powder for the heavier bullets? I am currently using 231 for 115gr and 124gr Precision Delta bullets and would prefer not buying another type of powder. However, most people I know use Titegroup or some other powder for this grain bullet.

Works good for target loads. If you're looking for full power loads, you'll get better velocities w/ a slower powder.

I like W231 in the 9mm for several reasons. Like said above if you want top velocity with a heavy bullet you will need to use a slower powder but for most 9mm uses W231 is just fine. I usually load a 124/125gr bullet in the 9mm but there's nothing wrong with using W231 with a 147gr bullet. you can safely generate ~900 fps with W231 from a 4" barrel.

BUT, HS-6 will be a better choice...
