Heat gun and twist.

Epoxy gets rubbery above a given temperature, which varies depending on the epoxy type. Heat it high enough and it gives up entirely, but here you are in steel tempering temperatures, have to be careful with what you do, be it just for the colors you’ll end up with on the parts…

Gotcha yeah that's a little bit of a scary proposition heating up a barrel that hot. I understand why you used a lesser epoxy in case you want to remove it. good thinking.
