I've got a line on a Winchester 94 trapper in 45 colt. It has the tang safety and saddle ring. Also, it has one round through it. Could anyone give me a current value? Thanks.

NIB 450, EXCELLENT 350. That is from 2007 Official Gun Digest book of Guns and Prices. Reality is that Winchester is no longer making lever actions. Cowboy Action shooting is all the rage (.45 Colt being a big plus). A local store had the same rifle in .357 that lasted 4 days for $489. I hesitated on it and came back to buy it, was gone, bought a Rossi in stead, same gun with a goofy safety for $400 new. Like any gun location has something to do with it but I think that the $450 price is a good place to start given the tang safety. P.S. The tang safety was added in 2003. Bill
