It's in real good shape, I knew he had it for years but I did not realize that long. The only thing it needs is new screws to hold on the butt plate, he wanted to switch it out with another one a few years back so he took it off and lost the screws. I have both butt plates but no screws and I want to use some that are close to original.
I should have added to my post if you are buying two buttplate screws and going to pay S&H on two screws look at the available parts and get a few other screws or assorted parts they have in stock. Common parts as spare parts for the rifle.
That is one of the best rifles ever, in my opinion. Enjoy, I shot mine last week and as always, it was fun. I used to have quite a few, but I kept carbines in .30/30, .25/35 and .32 special. My 30/30 is a 1950's and it is the nicest of them all.
I love my 1940 manufacture Win 94. Those older guns are real beauties to shoot. It's the most accurate and smoothest 94 of all the ones that I have. It's been used its entire life, and isn't the prettiest to look at, but dang that thing will shoot.
