? Winchester 9422 front dovetail size

Can anyone tell me the front dovetail size for one of the 2003 production era 9422's?

Williams list's two available;

(M) .340 medium width is for factory ramps such as Marlin, Remington etc.
(W) .531 wide width is for dovetailed barrels commonly found on .22 rifles and muzzleloaders.

My 1995 9422 took the .340.

It would be the medium width as it's square-sided for a screw-on ramp. The wide width is rounded on the sides for those guns that the front sight dovetails directly into the barrel. All the 94/22's have ramps.

You are confusing "dovetail size" with "sight width"

Both my 9422's have .350" wide ramps, so the .340" width sight would be the correct width for use on them.
