I got a Winchester Model 37A 12 gauge shotgun...Fully functional and in great condition but the barrel was shortened to 18.5". I got a 12 gauge 30" full choke barrel with some extras on GunBroker.
I tried the barrel .. it closes but with some effort but I don't hear the locking sound and the hammer won't cock.
I saw another post here but any suggestions with pictures would be appreciated .. you can post them here or email them to [email protected].
I feel confident after reading the previous article but I'm a visual learner..
Thanks 👍

What Pivot Dr said... That's a neat gun and sounds like it's in good shape. Just needs the good gunsmith magic touch. Or as the saying goes; "Don't Try This At Home". I bet there's a bunch of folks out here, besides me, that would also like to see pictures of it, too.

Could someone post some pictures or a drawing of what is: The Lower Flat of the Locking V .. Thanks

Decided to keep the 18.5" Barrel that is part of the gun. I bought a 30" 12 gauge barrel + parts kit on GunBroker.
I'm keeping the parts kit and in the process of selling the 30" barrel on eBay .. Item # 225961369650.
