Winchester Ranger T ammo?????

Has anyone out there put the Winchester Ranger T ammo to the test????
Doe's it really "petal out" like they say??? I'm considering switching my personal defense ammo from Golden Sabers to these new Rangers...
What do you guys and gals think???

I presently pack a G22 and a H&K USPc Compact 40...

If the pictures of it in the current American Handgunner are accurate, it has absolutely spectacular expansion - over an inch in .45.

In calibrated test gelatin, yes it does "petal out"....in actual use, well, sometimes it will and sometimes it won't - as with any hollowpoint...there ain't no guarantees! I think the Ranger T series are probably as good as it gets in hollowpoint ammunition. I think it's best to look at expansion as a bonus instead of a requirement...nothing replaces shot placement with adequate penetration. Use what meets your requirements for accuracy, flash, etc...and above all - function!
