Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for a little safety advise. Long story short, I have a 7x57mm Model 1895 Chilean short rifle that I usually shoot with mild handloads in the 2000 ft/lbs range.
I ran out of empty cases so I bought a box of Winchester Super X powerpoints. Reading the ballistics table this round produces ~2290 ft/lbs.
Being roughly 10% above my usual load I was wondering if this would be safe to shoot or I should break down the cartridges and just reuse the primed cases and bullets?
Any advice would be highly appreciated!
Tom
