I've searched here, I've searched there. I have found a lot of information on these guns, but I can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for.
Any experts on this board?

I recently picked one up. It was 250, so it seemed like a no-brainer.
Serial number is M67xxx, so later '70s probably.
It has a straight English style stock. Fixed Mod choke, 26" vent rib. The end of the barrel is ported, and the charging handle is about the size of my thumb.
I can't find anything like it anywhere.
Is this a factory production, or a custom job?
I also can't get pictures to load.

Thanks for anything.

sx1 has a tube extending into the buttstock with the recoil spring. so anyway the straight stock would have been carefully reconstructed to house that. btw change the bolt buffer.
....sx1 is one of the softest recoiling guns out there. porting was not necessary in my experiences. the sum of the parts was worth more than 250.

I don't believe they were factory ported and I've never seen one with a straight grip stock. They were-are a great shotgun and yes, replace the bolt recoil buffer. They are available on line, do a google search. I've never seen a charging handle as you describe, they are available on line also.
There is a SX1 in my gun cabinet as we speak.

Thank you. Whomever did the work did an excellent job. It's honestly good enough that I had to ask if this came from Winchester like that.
Hopefully these come through.
