Does anyone know if the same primers are used in the Wolf black box ammo versus the Military Classic 7.62x39?

The reason I ask is I got two failures to fire today with the Military Classic, and none with the standard black box. Primer strikes looked good on the ones that failed to fire. The gun involved was a Ruger Mini 30 which will sometimes do this I have heard with some steel cased ammo if the primers are hard.

Both rounds subsequently fired just fine in an AK. Are the Military Classic primers harder than the standard Wolf black box ammo primers?

Probably more of the same headache that the handloader crowd is having.

Wolf primers being oversize, and therefore not seating fully.

An incompletely-seated primer is a very good candidate for fail-to-fire.

The force of the firing pin striking the primer once probably seated the primer sufficiently to allow it to fire on the second strike.
