This thread: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=748722&highlight=7.62x39+ammo got me thinking that I didn't really know much about 7.62x39 ammo myself. Other than the fact that is usually goes bang just fine.
So I figured I would pull apart a few different types I have on hand.
I'm not too savvy on how to type on or modify pictures with text so bear with me! The bullets are from left to right in the pics: Wolf Military Classic HP, Tulammo FMJ, and Golden Tiger FMJ. The powder appears to be the same or very similar between all three.
Wolf MC: .310", 123.6gr, 25.5gr charge, case wt. 102.6gr. Bullet has small smooth cannelure
Tulammo:.310", 124.2gr, 25.5gr charge, case wt. 100.6gr. Bullet has no cannelure
GT FMJ: .310", 123.6gr, 24.8gr charge, case wt. 105.1gr. Bullet has no cannelure, sealant present
In my experience the Golden Tiger has shot better for me and I can say that the apparent difference bullet construction may have something to do with it.
