Woman shot six times in head lives

A friend in SPD worked an incident (40+ shots fired from three weapons in the center of Seattle) where one of the "victims" was shot right between the eyes, center of the forehead. He was walking around when they arrived. He's always amazed at the physical resilience of some of the (unprintable) he deals with everyday.

I heard once that the skull is approximately equivalent to 3/4" thick plywood in its penetrative resitance.

A local woman was attacked here abouts last week with the claw end of a carpenter's hammer. She survived two dozen or so hits to the head. Don't think I could consider myself lucky surviving that even if they could sew my ear back on.

.32 cal. quite possibly a round nosed bullet. Round nosed bullets at low velocity have been known to take unpredictable paths in soft (and hard) tissue.
