My dad gave this to me a long time ago. I used to run around the yard with it on, using the steel cup for the but of my Crossman "Pumpmaster" when squirrel control required firing from the hip. Trench warfare against Maine Red Squirrels is hell.
I just now dug it out of the attic, and found a few things of interest.
On the back of the right "bank" is "LONG 4-18" and "W.T.T." just below that.
On the left side is "R.H. LONG 4-18"
On the center belt portion is once again "LONG 4-18"
Of all the BAR belts I've seen in person, they were all 6 pocket, identical from side to side. As you can see, this one has a steel cup attached to a leather "plate" which in turn is stiched to the belt, and what appears to be a .45acp dual mag pouch(?) on the right hand side.
Anyone have any thoughts, I'm guessing the repeated 4-18 signifies Apr of 1918 manufacture.
Any thought on the W.T.T.? RH LONG?? Value???
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
