Or any piece of elm. The stuff she was splitting looks like pine which falls into pieces when you give it a harsh look.I'll take my hydraulic log splitter. I want to see her log-sword against a log with a nice big knot in it.
Most of my firewood comes from knotty logs greater than 24" diameter. Good luck with that, Rambo. With most wood this is easier and faster than a gas-powered splitter
I was wondering about that too..Why all the hate? GEEZ!!!
Unfortunately there are people who do not have a sense of humor on this forum. As a practical matter I know this is not a good option for chopping wood, but it is kind of interesting that someone would go to the trouble to make something like this. And that other people would buy it.Why all the hate? GEEZ!!!
I had been thinking of the the one from Harbor Freights simply because of the price point of $149. I had a couple of 40 ft trees that died during the freeze we had in Texas. One is a pecan tree and the other is an Ash tree. Just don't know if it will do the job and don't want to spend a lot of money as I won't have much use for the splitter once I'm done using it. Which splitter do you have?I'll take my hydraulic log splitter. I want to see her log-sword against a log with a nice big knot in it.
Ash splits very easily. A hatchet would suffice. Not sure about pecan. We dont have those here.I had been thinking of the the one from Harbor Freights simply because of the price point of $149. Dry ash you can just about Karate chop it to split, pecan I'm not sure there related to other nut trees and some slip fine some not. I'd save some money and just buy a maul. The hf manual splitter works but is slow as Molasses. Save that pecan for the smoker tho.I had been thinking of the the one from Harbor Freights simply because of the price point of $149.
