I turned 45 this year, so I decided I needed a .45 caliber pistol

Maybe in a year and a half I'll be able to afford that Barrett M82A1.

Mossberg 590

The day after we found out my wife and I were having a daughter I went out and bought a Mossberg 590. I told her I'd need it in about 15 years to keep all the "young men" in line whenever they come courting our daughter.... not sure if my wife bought it or not, but I got my gun!!! Now where is that shovel......

A distant acquaintance of mine, who embraces the shooting rage du jour with incalculable passion, once had ~ a dozen Remington XP100's in various calibers for IHMSA competition. As a bachelor, he didn't need permission, but when asked why he bought this X.1.0 variant, he'd always start off with "Well.... I didn't have one'.

I can shoot it left handed...

Put a G17 on layway. Cant shoot it worth a damn with my right hand, and do a lot better southpaw. Exactly the oppisite of my 1911s.
