Would you buy a used LE Glock?

The last gunshow I went to had a vendor selling Milwaukee PD marked G22's for around $350. They didn't have much wear on them.

As mentioned most Glocks are GREAT, They can take a buttload of abuse and still work. That being said most LE Glocks see very little use. I doubt some LE pistols see more than a 1000 rounds through them. AND on top of that... they are simple, easy to work ok and parts and hop-up parts are abundant. Aluminum frame anyone?

That being said, I'd get one instead of the Sig P225 I got... aww who am i kidding... I'd get both!

I would buy one in a heart beart. Glocks can take alot of rounds so even if the cop shot alot I would still buy it.

I was talking to my son about used vs new, he is for new only. Me I have bought them both ways and still feel it is a good deal. The Glock is a 100,000 round gun, with very little up keep. IMHO...

:)

I bought a used glock 17 in 1996 from Dicks Pawn shop in Myrtle Beach

I bought a used police trade in Glock 17 from Dicks pawn shop in Myrtle Beach around 1996. It is 1st generation. I have shot more than 50k+ rounds through it without replacing a single spring or anything. God only knows how many round were through it before i bought it.
It still groups very well and i have never had a single malfunction. I shoot better with 115 grn fmj bullets.
I am sold on Glocks..... I have a glock 27 and Glock 19 and love all of them!

sounds like a deal to me, i would look it over and make sure that it was in good shape. altought with me being in the military i can get them nib w/ 3 hi cap mags for $398 plus tax.

Sounds like a good deal! Pretty hard to shoot out a Glock in 9mm I'd think. I've never been able to. :)

There are no used Glocks...they are just "broken-in" :).

It takes about 100,000 rounds for one to be considered used.

Just my .02,
LeonCarr

i've bought plenty of them. one of them had PD markings.

friend bought one yesterday. i detail stripped and cleaned it. couldn't tell that it was even used except that the finish was worn on the slide release.

I like my Agency stamped guns. Gives them a little more character.

Just not for me. I also think it might give someone trouble if the wrong cop stops you and finds the PD marked gun but no badge suspicious. I have no basis in fact but a hypothetical for this.

Either way, most of it is aesthetics. I like Glocks as they come out of the box.
