I'd pay somebody to clean a surplus rifle covered with cosmoline or to have a much shot filthy gun thoroughly detail stripped and cleaned from time to time but I wouldn't pay for a field strip type of cleaning.
However, unless you really know what you're doing don't ever, I repeat, don't ever completely disassemble a Parker Shotgun. Unless of course you like several dozen parts laying on your coffee table for about a week. That's the only firearm I have that goes to the gunsmith once about every 5 seasons for a lube and oil change.As mentioned prior, the inspection I do while having the gun disassembled is a key part of maintaining the gun.
