wow, my rifle did NOT like hornady 6.5C 140 grain match ammo

All it takes to test temperature sensitivity is an appropriate thermometer and a chronograph.

I get the feeling you've never tested the temp sensitivity of RL17, are now caught in a lie, and are trying to bluster your way out of it. Won't work. I and everyone else reading this can see you have no data to contribute.

Yes, the rules are simple, be polite and give your side of the debate. That means don't make it personal. It's so simple.

I already did. RL17 has roughly 8x the temperature sensitivity of H4350.

That's not data, that's just an opinion. Let's see your experimental method showing the whole process with the results. How many rounds shot, atmospheric data, chronograph calibration data, load data, rifle data, shooting position etc.

I would love to try some RL17, but can't find it. Same with H4350. This is what I have. Hornady Brass. Berger and Barnes match bullets at 140 grains. I have IMR4895, IMR4350, AA4350, IMR4064, and AA2700. CCI and Winchester primers and some reloading manuals.

So far I found that AA2700 worked well with the 140's in my Savage. What loads should I try next without endlessly searching for powders I can't find?

You haven't provided bubkis. The day I waste time to help you is never.

The data is plenty accurate, and is confirmed by numerous sources.

Well, just to provide another data point, here's what another guy on the 6.5 Creedmoor boards has:

http://www.65creedmoor.com/?topic=2208.msg29499#msg29499

His results are pretty much the same as mine. And here's Hodgdon's data

http://www.hodgdon.com/smokeless/extreme/page3.php#3006

They don't have RL17, but you'll see H4350 is the single least temperature sensitive powder they tested.

The entire world with the exception of one guy knows what I'm posting here is true :neener: Actually, that guy knows too.

Well seeing how neither of you are taking the hint from two Mods I am shutting this down. If you want to debate what powder works best in a particular load then start your own thread rather than hijacking someone else's. If only we had a sub forum dedicated to nothing but Handloading and Reloading...
